Life and death are irrevocably united
In 1984 the request of two special friends to create a grave monument for them, instigated the interest in grave-monument culture. In the process of creating these monuments we realised that life and death are irrevocably united. Death is the ultimate experience of the individual and, if possible, we could shape this leave-taking more consciously by reflecting on it in life. This led to the foundation of “Terebinth”. In the past few years many memorial monuments are created as signs of a conscious leave-taking. In 1996 we created a hearse, the “Cosmobile”, with the motto: “upright in the Bud”.
